Iran’s film ‘Gallu’ has been named the Best Short Film at the Blackboard International Film Festival in India.

Iran’s film ‘Gallu’ has been named the Best Short Film at the Blackboard International Film Festival in India.

‘Gallu’, along with three other films, were named the Best Short Films of the December edition of the Indian event.

Directed by Kasra Tirsahar, the film is about a rural man who accidently finds a piece of meat. And after cooking it, he notices its strange taste.

The man crazily searches for another meat that tastes the same, but the quest unleashes a series of catastrophes.

The Blackboard International Film Festival celebrates “film makers and creators around the world, who take the risk and do experiments in filmmaking”.

“We accept entries every month... Every month we will select a set of films in each category and we will mention it as an Official Selection. From the Official Selection list, we will select the Best Film of the month in each category,” the festival’s website reads.

“Only the Best Films in each category will be screened in our event,” it adds.
